HLH5 was my favorite part of xLive.com. I spent more time there than anywhere else on the site – whether or not I’m working.

HLH5 was where people posted their sexy secrets, and the readers could Hug, Laugh or Hi-5 the secret.

What I found interesting, after having read more than 4,000 posts, was the diverse, strange and interesting things that go on inside people’s heads. The secrets were broad-spectrum and the comments  ran the full gamut from people coming out of the closet to gay bashing; gay men secretly wanting straight men; straight men not willing to admit they might not really be straight; bizarre sexual fantasies and the people who want to fulfill them.

So I have decided that I would like to continue HLH5 after xLive has gone offline. To do that we bought HLH5.com and we’ve started to move the posts over to the new site.

xLive.com is no More

When I began working with xLive I thought that the site was too much like all the other tube sites out there, and that there would be a lot of resistance to the idea of yet another tube. So I did my best to come up with a really nice site design with interesting features that people would be happy to use again and again.

The market had changed since I was with XTube and so things didn’t grow as fast as we hoped for, but after 3 years of being online xLive grew to over 7,000 DVDs and over 400,000 members by the time the offer to sell came in.

This is the second time where I’ve found myself helping a site go from nothing to something and I’m not a part of the sale. Obviously I cannot get into any details of the sale of the site, but from my observations the boss is happy with how things have panned out. Maybe the next time will be my turn.
