When I began working with xLive I thought that the site was too much like all the other tube sites out there, and that there would be a lot of resistance to the idea of yet another tube. So I did my best to come up with a really nice site design with interesting features that people would be happy to use again and again.
The market had changed since I was with XTube and so things didn’t grow as fast as we hoped for, but after 3 years of being online xLive grew to over 7,000 DVDs and over 400,000 members by the time the offer to sell came in.
This is the second time where I’ve found myself helping a site go from nothing to something and I’m not a part of the sale. Obviously I cannot get into any details of the sale of the site, but from my observations the boss is happy with how things have panned out. Maybe the next time will be my turn.

The moment when xlive shut down came as quite a surprise, but the clean break is probably appreciated by many. Xlive was probably one of the more chill and welcoming adult sites, and surprisingly, one of the better gay social sites. The features really helped with the site’s unique success and I’m grateful for the efforts of you, Don Mega and the Xlive Team.
Goodbye, Xlive.

Yea, I had a lot of positive feedback on it from the gay community. For some reason I found it to be a surprise when there are so many sites out there, that only one was friendly enough.
