Email From a Father…
Today someone reported their daughter to me for being on the adult website I work with. This is the first time I have received such an email. The first time a parent contacted me was when I worked at XTube – a father found his son, who he learned at that very moment, was Gay. Things like that happened a few times while there but nothing since. Usually it’s a morally correct person reporting suspected minors. Here is their message and my response:
INCOMING EMAIL:
I want these photos removed, this is my daughter, she is only 15 years old. These photos should not even be on here. Please remove them.——————————————–
MY RESPONSE:
The requested gallery (visual depictions of a minor) has been removed from the website, websitename.comPlease consider that the photos originated from the depicted individual’s personal digital camera (as seen in the actual photos) and may have been distributed to other internet locations. That depicted individual should questioned as to how the photos made it from her camera to the internet.
It is also important to know that if the individual depicted in the photo was indeed a minor at the time the photos were taken then that individual is guilty of creation, possession and distribution of child pornography. A criminal offense carrying a minimum penalty of $250,000 and/or 5 years in prison (depending on jurisdiction). Furthermore, any other person involved in the distribution of said visual depictions is also guilty of possession and distribution of child pornography. Those persons should have their computers reformatted to ensure there are no more copies that would increase the risk of said visual depictions redistributed onto the internet or any other computer/storage device.
Finally, as the laws vary geographically, it is important to note that not all laws require actual sexual conduct to be taking place for the visual depictions to be classified as child pornography. Implied sexual behavior is the same as actual sexual behavior in many jurisdictions.
Please trace the path that the images took from the camera to the internet to be as thorough as possible in removing them from the internet, and make sure that all persons involved understand the full legal ramifications of their actions.

This is exactly why I want out of the adult industry, yet at the same time this is exactly why I want to stay in the adult industry. For two days now, I have sat here at my desk all day, looking for and deleting photos and videos of people whom I suspect are minors. In well over 95% of these cases the girls are doing it to themselves. Using their web-cam, digi-cam or cell-cam to take sexy pictures of themselves. Usually they are alone too so it’s not at all a pressure situation. In some cases it’s a party that has gotten out of control and some asshole starts snapping compromising photos of the girls.
Someone needs to teach these people about why not to do this. But at the same time telling them will only teach those who don’t know, how to do it. It will give boys the idea to do it and a new way to get revenge on girls. I spoke with a police officer from the High Tech Crimes Unit and he said there were community events organized in his area that address things like this and he mentioned http://internet101.ca/

I think about this all the time. How to get the message across to these kids that putting yourself on the net is not a good idea.

Great post man. You are totally right on how the girls put themselves in these weird situations such as taking “compromising” pics of themselves on various sites. It still boggles my mind why they would do such a thing. I highly doubt it has anything to do with peer pressure. I think it does have something to do with the media (tv, magazines, movies, reality shows, etc).
You see celebrity sex tapes popping up left and right. Grown adults taking pictures and videos of themselves …. and then crying about it when they magically leak onto the internet.
I think young girls posting this type of stuff might have something to do with that. That’s my 2cents on the situation.

Part of the problem is that parents don’t think that their kids would do something like that and that they can use technology responsibly. Yea, growing up we didn’t have this sort of technology so we never had these ideas. Now we have teenagers and they have all this technology and they have to be taught how to use it responsibly.
You are right, these ideas do come from everywhere in media. Teenagers are impressionable and do a lot of things without thinking them through. No girl ever stops to think before she sends her boyfriend that nude picture, “What if he shares this with the entire football team?” She’s just intent on winding up her boyfriend for fun later. She also doesn’t think that he will send the picture to his friends or that they might fall into the hands of someone who will put them on the internet.
